Where can I obtain information for a physician unfamiliar with WLS?

I am moving back to Michigan at the end of this month. The doctor that will be following me there is unfamiliar with WLS. Where can I obtain information for him to familiarize himself with the surgery AND with guidelines for following up (lab work, complications to look for, etc.)?
