What happens if documentation is beyond it's storage time?

07/23 - Was just notified by my PCP that my insurance company has a new criteria. You can't list the weight loss history by yourself - you have to have 3 letters from 3 different sources stating dates, times, treatment & weight record. I just called 5 places that were on my list and they all had the same thing to say. We don't keep records that old (7-10 years)! I only have 1 out of the 3 required, that I could use. My PCP asked me if I was really sure about having this surgery because she has a patient who had it done and wished they hadn't. My PCP also asked if I had ever tried Meridia & Orlostat (Xenical); but, I've already done the pill thing... This is just so frustrating - does anyone have any suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
