Is a hernia considered a complication?

I had WLS about 10 months ago in Salt Lake City. It was covered by my insurance. Three months after my surgery, I moved to Maine. I am now covered by a policy with a WLS exclusion. They say they will not cover WLS or "any complications arising from WLS." I have since developed an incisional hernia. Could my current insurance company get around paying for a repair, since the hernia was likely related to my WLS?
