Has anyone else ever had the embarrassing situation of breaking furniture...

I'm a little over 400lbs approx. and unfortunately have had the embarrassing situation of breaking more than one piece of furniture because of my weight. Has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you deal with it? I'm waiting on insurance approval and am having a hard time waiting. I'm afraid of even sitting anywhere.
