Please reassure me that this was worth it!

I am exactly 6 days post op. I had the gastric banding with staples. I'm in dull pain, but get nauseous often. It feels like when you haven't eaten for awhile and get nauseous. Is that common? It seems to go away when I eat some soup or something, but is back 2 hours later. I'll be glad when I can sleep on my side. Please give any feedback!
