How long did it take for you to recieve Approval Letter from Ins Co?

I was approved on or around the 25th of Feb. but I still havent recieved a letter from my insurance company. My doctor's office have all the info they need. Does this mean they already have something in writting ok'ing the surgery? Or should I call my company and ask for written approval?y the way this is Cigna POS.
