Looking for a Long Island Angel

I'm having my surgery on May 31st, 2005 at South Nassau communities hospital in Oceanside and looking for support. I'm not your typical candidate my BMI is only 37 but life has gotten very difficult since having back fusion surgery with the extra weight. My asthma has gotten worse and I have developed acid reflux that I now take prevacid for. My insurance did not agree to pay for my surgery and I had to dip into my savings to pay for it but I know how priceless quality of life is. Any words of advice and support are welcomed
