Will previous surgery prevent me from having WLS?

I had a partial hystorectomy (Bad spelling) when I was 27. I had my gall bladder removed when I was 28. I'm now 55 and would like to have WLS. Both surgeries were open surgery. Will this prevent me from having WLS and if so why?
