Is my body in starvation mode?
I've talked about this before, and maybe I just need to go to support meetings. But for over a month now, I am just never hungry. I have to force myself to eat. My day to day intake looks like this:
carnation instant breakfast w/ SKIM PLUS (has extra protein) milk
1oz cheddar cheese w/ 2 crackers
10oz ISOPURE
2oz fish or chicken w/ some kind of veggie
then sometimes a snack of pnb or a yogurt smoothie w/ a couple strawberries.
I always get 60-65 grams of protein a day, my doc really wants me to have 70-80. And i drink atleast 80 ounces of water. My bloodwork is all normal. I've lost 60 pounds in 3 1/2 months (I was 250 to start out). But i'm scared i'm going into starvation mode, i just never want to eat, nothing looks appealing. I am sick of eggs and yogurt (unless it's in a smoothie) Does anyone have any ideas? I know this honeymoon period won't last forever people said, and it's funny, who would've ever thought I'd have to force myself to eat, but I don't want to hurt my body either! THANKS!
