I'm trying to determine if I've been transected or not.

I asked my doctor the other day if I was transected and he said I had a "divided" gastric bypass with a Roux limb that was approximately 228cm bypassed in my intestines, so he says it was neither proximal, nor distal, but somewhere in between. However, I'm still not sure if I was transected or just staples?? I asked him again and am waiting for his response but curious as to what others think when he says "divided". I'm hoping it's just not staples but that it has been transected. Any input? Thanks in advance!
