Numbness and partial paralysis?
I can't be sure this has anything to do with WLS, but I don't know who else to ask. Here's my problem. On Thursday morning, when I woke up, I was tripping over my left big toe. It didn't feel like it was asleep or anything, but I was definately walking weird. I can "sort of" flex my toes on my left foot down, but I can't flex my big toe up...which makes it difficult to walk. The numbness is midway up my calf now. I have absolutely no control over my big toe now...and I'm having a difficult time controling almost all of my left foot and leg now also. I can use my hand to pull my toe UP, but when I let go (even though I'm flexing my muscles to hold it there) my toe just flops right back down. As I said, this happened to me on Thursday morning and now it's Sunday and it just isn't getting better. I thought maybe it might have something to do with potassium levels, so I've been eating bananas, but still nothing. Then, to top it off, I'm having trouble controlling my fingers and arm on my left side also! My PCP moved out of state, so my ins. company is in the process of assigning me a new PCP...plus it's the holiday, so I couldn't even call anyone until Tuesday. Anyone have any idea what is happening to me? Thanks So much!
