Allergy's kicking in 3 days before surgery!!!problems??

Hello, Wed is my surgery date and my allergys have kicked in big time!!! I have a runny nose and scratchy throat. Called Nurse at office and she suggested I take in sudafed to kick it in the butt. If I can not clear up the allergies before surgery, will they still operate on me??? Thanks in advance!! April Cason
