8 weeks post -- tailbone pain when I sit!

Since my surgery 8 1/2 weeks ago, I have really had a painful tailbone when I sit. Cars, planes, chairs, etc. This is new since surgery. At first I thought it was because I was spending so much time in chairs and in bed. No, I am perplexed. No, I didn't lose cushioning there. It started in the hospital (I gained 5 pounds that week!) and I am down 41 pounds now, most from my stomach. Trust me, my ass is huge. Any thoughts?
