Could someone explain where exactly is the pouch located.
One poster asked the other day about a pain under the left breast and someone responded that that was where the pouch was located. I have a beautiful recent book on anatomy & it does indeed show the normal stomach to be in that spot, with the back part of it tucking under the ribs. But when I asked my dr, he said my stomach was right under my incision, so center. Which is it? Do surgeons all use the same part of the stomach to create the pouch? Or does that vary from dr to dr, or vary based on surgery type?
