Has BCBS of GA, Blue Choice HMO, ever approved WLS without employer intervention?

I've searched the site, see little indication that people are getting approved by this provider, because of exclusion in policy. I found one of my "peers" approval, but only after the employer intervened with the insurer mentioned above, and requested the surgery to be approved because it was beneficial to the insured health. Can the ADA get involved, since severe obesity is, or should be considered a disability?
