Work is changing insuance companies. Can I continue coverage?

My husband's insurance approved me but the company went out of business. (No COBRA).. I switched to my company's insurance and was approved but they are now switching carrier's. I am afraid that I will not be able to switch the surgery date (Aug 1) in time for the planned change. Need to know if I can continue with the present plan since I am approved.
