Has anyone gained weight after RNY?

I am anxiously awaiting a surgery date for open RNY and have read stories of post-ops who had RNY regaining weight after two plus years. I am a military wife and will be having surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. I don't have a choice of lap vs open or RNY vs DS. They are currently performing the open RNY.....so this is what I'll have. It frightens me read the potential of regaining weight. I want this to be a permanent solution and never have consider a revision down the road. I am open to any helpful suggestions or advice.
