scales/surgical scar

I have two questions. The first is I weigh over 350 lbs now. However, I was able to weigh at the hospital because they had an electronic scale that went up to I think 600 lbs. When I went in the hospital, I weighed 532 lbs. when I checked out 10 days later, I weighed 481 lbs. Unfortunately, the hospital is an hour drive from my home and my surgeon do not have a scale that weighs over the usual 350. My surgeon do not seem too concerned about my early weight loss but I think it is very important. Do anyone have suggestions on how to weigh? Also, do anyone have suggestions on creams that help fade the long surgical scar from breastbone to belly button? Has anyone tried the special tape that is suppose to dissolve/minimize surgical scars and was it effective?
