Whats the difference between throwing up after eating too fast/much and dumping?

I recently started on regular foods and already Ive thrown up several times. I dont know if Im dumping and should avoid those foods altogether or whether I should try and slow down my eating even more. I dont feel like Im eating fast but after eating just a little of say nuts or chicken which I chew very well, sometimes I start salivating and swallowing and eventually to feel better I need to throw up. Usually I just throw up saliva and just a little or none of the food. I dont have this problem all the time. Im eating so little as it is...should I contact my doctor and ask him to examine my pouch to see if somethings wrong?
