discount in exchange for experimental proceedures

My doctor has, in the past and present, offered/offers a lower fee for the surgery if we consent to an experimental procedure. Has anyone here ever done that? If so, how much of a discount and what was the proceduer? If you haven't...do you think you would be willing to do this?
