The Doctor at BTC has still not contacted me to tell me he won't operate

They took my $85 easily but it has been a week since the secretary told me he would call to tell exactly why he won't operate (expecially when my pulmonologist and cardiologist said to go for it). Even if he did say o.k. now, I'd be nervous to undergo surgery without an ICU. Could one of the medical people answer my question? Would it be that dangerous to undergo surgery if your breathing is only 48%? My oxygen ranges from 88-93 at rest. I have wanted and needed this surgery so badly, but now I'm afraid. Would I be safer in a larger place like MAYO? ( I am considering going there to find out what is wrong with my lungs, all the reports say atelectasis, but local doctor is not doing anything to help me.) I need help in the thinking department--my trusted family doctor is out of town until the 25, and I'm desperate!
