Has anyone else experienced grand mal seizures from low potassium levels?

I have had 2 grand mal seizures, one 6/6/04, and one 9/2//05. Both were caused by low potassium levels. My surgeon says they are not connected to my RNY, but I disagree. I am thrilled with the results of my surgery (-120 lbs.) but this is a serous problem.
