too much calcium, during my 6 month lab test my calcium came back to high

so my dr. ordered a pth blood test, this also came back high, so i had to go get a parathyroid scan done. they are checking for hypercalcemia. i am freaking out here, because i was not even taking a calcium pill, and my calcium was fine before the surgery. help!!!
