Should I be concerened that Medicaid is taking so long to respond?

I am concerened about why it is taking Illinois Medicaid so long to approve me...I am afraid I will be denied. It has been 3 weeks since the paperwork was sent in and I have talked to alot of people on here that got their approval in a matter of days...any suggestions on how to get thru this with my hair in tack would be greatly apprieciated....(I am actually losing my hair due to the stress of this whole thing!)
