Has anyone on dialysis and/or had a condition called calciphylaxis ever had WLS?

I am a dialysis patient and I have calciphylaxis on the left outer thigh, a pea-size spot which is being treated at the wound care center. Obesity is breeding ground for calciphylaxis therefore I need and want a gstric bypass. The charge nurse at my dialysis center believes I would not be a good candidate for gastric bypass. Why would a left thigh wound interfere with a gastric bypass? Is she just trying to keep me as a dialysis patient. My dream is to loose weight, try and get a kidney transplant and have a normal life. I want a new beginning at life.
