How long does the protein last?

I started using some bottled protein drinks like IsoPure Zero Carb and Designer Whey Protein Blast. These bottles have an expiration date but I was wondering once you open them how long is the protein good for, hours, days, a week? I know the powders once they are mixed should be drank with in the hour. Any ideas on these?
