Are medications post-ops as effective for you?

I am 6 weeks post op. I am finding that most medications are not working as well as they did prior to surgery such as Claritan and Sudafed. I also tried VIOXX for the first time for cramps and that didn't work so well either. Has anyone else had to increase the suggested doses (with Doctor's approval of course)?
