Had my endoscopy and they found an ulcer. Does this mean I can't have Lap-Band surg.

I have had a little pain in my upper stomach but nothing serious. My doctor wanted to do an endoscopy and the picture showed I do have an ulcer. Does this mean I won't be a candidate for WLS. Now I'm scared that I won't be able to have it done. He sent me from the hospital with a prescription of Prilosec. I hope someone can tell me what I am up against. Thanks
