Post Op Edema

I had my Abdominoplasty 2 weeks ago. I am having swelling in my anklesI was cut from my breast bone to my pelvic bone, then hip to hip. They removed almost 9 lbs of skin. I also had to have my old RNY scar removed because it looked like a big fat red fishing worm. Is it normal to have fluid on your ankles after surgery like that? I am almost 5'8 and weigh about 172. I am almost 45 years young. I don't really need to lose any more weight. I am going to call my surgeon tomorrow. I just would like to know if anyone else has had this situation.
