Anyone have canker sores on tongue due to nutritional intake

Each and everytime I have ever dieted in my life, I would get these horrible canker sores on the back of my tongue. They would be so sore, that many times, I would stop the diet and go back to eating normal. Since, malabsorption will be somewhat the "norm" after surgery, I am very worried about getting those sores. It seemed to me it was due to a nutritional imbalance. Any answers out there?!
