Do insurance companies consider your heredity when deciding on approval?

Both my parents have strong histories of heart disease in their families. And my father, as well as his father is a diabetic. While my BMI is 42, I don't currently have any comorbid conditions. But I feel like a time bomb is ticking in my future if I don't get the weight off.
