Has anyone heard of this type of operation? How does it differ from the RNY?

I was told by another doctor that my surgeon does this type of surgery, have not gone to see him yet . Have first visit on November 28. Would like to know if this is as effective as the RNY etc. If anyone can refer me to a website with info. about this, would be greatly appreciated.
