Anyone had their rings re-sized more than once?

My wedding rings are a size 8 (couldn't even get them ON before surgery) and my ring finger is now a size 6. I got the jeweler to put in one of those bars to make them fit better, but now they are still sliding around and it's driving me crazy. I was trying to wait til I got to goal, but.. I have a good 40-60 more lbs. to lose. I actually will probably be getting the diamond engagement ring re-set when I get to goal..it's been sized up and down quite a few times already. I'm not planning on messing with the wedding band though. Both are very thin and I'm concerned resizing twice might be bad..although I guess down is better on it than sizing up. Not wearing them is not an option..that drives me even crazier than having them sliding around. Has anyone else had their rings resized more than once and did it work ok?
