Ladies help! This probably has nothing to do with the surgery but....

I know it is normal to experience hair loss after surgery which I am dealing with now, but has anyone noticed changes in the hair on legs and armpits? I am fair skinned with blond hair and before, I could get away without shaving for literally 2-3 weeks and no one could tell because my hair was so light and came back very slow. Now (and coincidence as soon as my hair started falling out) I have to shave minimum once a week because the hair there is so dark now and grows fast. What gives? Is it hormones or what? Please tell me someone else has experienced this! (I wish that hair would just fall out to!)
