Amount of food 2 weeks post op.
This is my first time posting since open RNY 2 weeks ago. I have an embarassing concern, because already I think i am eating too much. My doctor sends us home on a regular diet --just minmalized, and I've not seenn him pst-op yet because he had an emergency, and I got turfed to a non-WLS surgeon for an 11 second check-up. Anyway, by 48 hrs. home from the hospital I was eating 2"x1" size lasagna, 4 bites of salad and 1/4 piece of bread at a sitting. Now at 2 weeks,, my husband can cut off the last 2-3 inches of his sub for me for a meal. I can probably eat this same amt. 3-4 times a day. I am VERY WORRIED, perhaps my surgeon didn't staple me enough. I am also worried, that I've essentially skirted this recovery without any negative events--my insides don't feel disrupted at all--having the flu would be worse. Please, please, tell me if my intake is far too great for two weeks out--I just can't believe I did all this--if I'm still eating too much. Can't tell you about weight loss because I don't have ascale, and like a said the YAHOO who examined me post-op never even mentioned it. Thank you all you wonderful people who have gotten me there and right up to here!!!
