I just found out I have a marginal ulcer.... I want to know what to expect.

I had been feeling very sick, throwing up all the time, not keeping even some liquids down. I had an endoscopy and they found a marginal ulcer. Okay... I now know what is wrong and why I have been feeling the way I do. Heres what I want to know... I will start taking carafate this evening. Can anyone tell me what to expect, when I should start feeling better... is this a sign of worse things or continuous problems to come? Any information at all would be helpful.
