When will the nausea and gas stop

I am amost 6 weeks post op and I seem to be having more and more problems with gas pains and nausea. Nothing really seems to help. Is there a specific reason for the nausea? It hits unexpectedly like morning sickness any time day or night. I am going to go back to nothing but soups.
