Can you hinder your approval if you bug your insurance company?

Is it possible that if you or would hinder your approval with your insurance company. I don't know why they would persay but things have not been submitted by them in a timely manner and I just wonder would that have any impact on whether the insurance co would deny me based on them? Sorry if this question sounds confusing....
