Confused??

Ok, I was just searching the data base and I think I am a little confused where the panniculectomy is concerned. Ok, I know that the panniculectomy gets rid of that excess apron of skin that hangs after losing weight and I thought it also tightened up the tummy too. Now, my question is this, do all plastic surgeon's tighten the muscles while they are in there while perfoming the panniculectomy? Or is that a whole different procedure in and of itself? I am scheduled to have another consult for a panniculectomy and breast reduction, but I certainly don't want to go through the pain of a panniculectomy if my tummy isn't going to be flat and firm. Any takers on this question??? Thanks in advance for you time...
