Has anyone had the Duodenal Switch with a transverse (side to side) incision?

My doc is gonna upzip me like this just above my hysterectomy scar and will be taking part of my stomach, gall bladder and my appendix. Was wondering if anyone else has bad it done this way and if you had any complications or a hard time healing.
