Will my surgery be delayed by overactive thyroid?

I got a call from my internist's office who I went to see yesterday for blood work for my upcoming modified circumfrential lower body lift on January 28th and was asked to come back in and see him tomorrow because my blood work showed that I have an overactive thyroid. Will something like this cause a delay in my surgery coming up in a couple of weeks? I will be seeing the plastic surgeon this Thursday for the usual pictures etc appointment but thought I would throw out this question to help ease my mind between now and my appointments on Wednesday and Thursday. Thank you in advance for any input that you may have.
