I'm 4 months out and having cramps in my ads

I have surgery on 10/10/03. I haven't done a lot of exerice after surgery and recently I joined the gym. I'm wondering if I can be having these pain because I've overworked my abs. Have anyone have this problem and how long to take before you were able to do abs again? The advice nusre said I should contiune to do my ads. I alos I've noticed it's been raining lately and I'm wondering if rain is making my stomach cramp. Please let me know if you have a similiar situation happen to you. Anytra
