Will it close up again?

Hi, I just had a stricture opened yesterday, after being sick for about a week, not keeping anything down, including water. Have my surgeons office to blame for ignoring my complaints for almost a week. My question is, I can't imagine going through that procedure again to open the intestine back up that was sealed shut. What are the chances of it closing up again? I am only 6 weeks out today, that's part of the reason the office kept blowing me off, they kept saying "no one has ever had a stricture this soon" Well, do I get an award or something for being the first??? Thanks
