How is liquid prozac tolerated after surgery?

My surgeon had me switch to liquid or chewable forms of all medications before surgery. The liquid prozac is awful, it gags me and I haven't even had surgery yet. Has anyone else had this problem? Are you able to keep this stuff down post op? Has anyone tried dissolving the pills instead?
