4 wks post-op - I feel like I have so much gas in my pouch, help?

I have to burp a thousand times when I am having lunch. Sometime, I get incredible pains in my pouch. Is this common? I have vomited from this only 3 times, but the pain is horrible. Does anyone take Gas-X or something like that?
