Has anyone used information from the International Obesity TaskForce in their appeal?

I found this site by accident--it has a ton of links to medical journals, etc...is this info appropriate for an appeal for the Lap-Band? or is the band too new?!?!!?!? My insurance covers gastric bypass but not Lap-Band.
