Can iced tea take the place of all or part of the 64 oz.

I really don't mind drinking water, but it does get boreing after awhile. I am trying to find out what other drinks can take the place of some or all of the water. Seems to me tea is just water with some flavor. I am post-op and am trying to get used to drinking that much, it's not easy now,gosh what will it be like after surgery with such a tiny tummy!
