Anyone know a tv writer?

I watched a medical show tonight about a morbidly obese woman who nearly died taking herbals or something trying to loose weight. She was denied a good job because of her weight too. It got me thinking, wouldnt it be wonderful if a tv show created a morbidly obese character and followed their surgery in a small way as part of the plot, filming the person perodically as they lost weight? The entire audience would see the person shrinking! Many who dont know about surgery would be informed. Anyone have a connection in the tv industry. It would be a excellent sub plot. Now if thi a off the wall idea please delete it or ignore the writings of a scared stiff guy just hours from surgery who cant sleep.
