Has anyone with a colostomy ever had gastric bypass surgery?

My husband has colon cancer 5 years ago and now has a colostomy. He has been deemed "cancer free," but he does have a weight problem. His weight has caused the area around his stoma to herniate several times so he has had surgery for that. I just wondered if there would be further complications with his already different digestive track. Anyone else in this situation? Lisa Polk
