I had a hernia repair with my Bypass surgery,

I am having the worst pain from this repair. It is pretty intense. Is this something I should expect? Does it take longer for a hernia repair to heal. From those of us who have had both done at the same time please let me know what you experienced. I have scheduled an appt. with my surgeon for next week. Thanks so much.
